Championays!!!!!

The public have voted in our Comic Idol poll! The votes have been counted and as readers of this week's Beano will know, the winner of Comic Idol is...

...MEEBO AND ZUKY!

The feuding cat and dog fought off competition from the other stories to win a regular spot in the Beano. And then they started fighting with each other. And they haven't stopped yet...

So, you'll be seeing lots more of this warring pair in future Beanos! We really want to thank everybody who took the time to vote and comment on the stories. We have read everything that was written in your comments. Thank you so much for all your comments.

The artist's early sketches of Meebo and Zuky.

These are the first sketches we saw of Meebo And Zuky from our artist. They made me laugh A LOT. Here's a little fact that even the artist doesn't know - unless she's reading this page, in which case, yes she does know... Meebo and Zuky were originally going to be called Elmo and Shifty. Now there's a useless fact for you!

I’m happy for Meebo and Zuky, though I think I would have preferred to see Home Invasion. The drawings in Meebo and Zuky are a bit modern and chibi and pokemonish. Home Invasion’s drawings are much more comicy and Beano-ish.

YIPPEE! Meebo and Zuky won! They are great and all their stories have been great, my fave being either the ball one or the fishing one… Think Uh Oh Si Co should of come second, but that last Home Invasion, was by sure the best of it’s series… Hopefully they may still use the two comic strips…
